Immersive Virtual Reality
Evidence tells us that simulation is an excellent means of learning. Aircraft training simulators are often held up as the ‘gold standard’ with controls and views which precisely emulate the real world. The drawback of these simulators are obvious – they can cost many thousands, if not millions of pounds to develop, install and validate. This is why we use head mounted Virtual Reality and other techniques such as 360 filming and spatial sound design to construct low cost, high fidelity simulations that can simulate anything from a working environment to a complex piece of machinery.
The simulations we create are designed to be deployed remotely and often run entirely autonomously. We have created a range of learning environments that can be accessed via the latest Head Mounted Displays (HMDs) including Oculus Rift-S and Vive Cosmos, via standalone 6 Degrees Of Freedom (DOF) sets such as Oculus Quest, and via a conventional desktop PC or laptop.
We create all our training content in-house and draw upon many years of experience in this area to create simulations that have been proven to hold Construct Validity i.e. not only do they look and feel realistic, a trainee can be expected to perform as they would in a real situation whilst inside them.
We have pioneered a technique for the validation of immersive training using eye-tracking – this is how we know our simulations work. Find out more here.

We also use Virtual Reality simulations in the Off The Shelf training modules we provide. See courses for more information.
